Join the crew aboard one of Cirdan’s amazing vessels for an adventurous 6-day Sailing Voyage along the British coastline during the school holidays!
Duet is our 110 year old gaff-rigged yawl with a colourful history. She may be the smallest in our fleet but she is often the fastest.
Living and working in the confines of a sailing vessel is the best way to form friendships, build teamwork learn new skills and have great fun and adventure.

2023 Voyage Dates
DofE 1 2023: Mon 10th April to Sat 15th April – East Coast
DofE 2 2023: Mon 24th July to Sat 29th July – South Coast
DofE 3 2023: Mon 31st July to Sat 5th Aug – South Coast
DofE 4 2023: Mon 7th Aug to Sat 12th Aug – South Coast
DofE 5 2023: Mon 14th Aug to Sat 19th Aug – South Coast
DofE 6 2023: Mon 21st Aug to Sat 26th Aug – South Coast
DofE 7 2023: Mon 23rd Oct to Sat 28th Oct – East Coast
The cost for 2023 is £595 per person for the 6-day voyage and this includes all food onboard, use of waterproofs, safety equipment and everything you will need for life aboard.
This price is all-inclusive and extra funding may be available from our Voyage of Discovery Fund for anyone experiencing particular financial hardship.
Experience required: None – participants will have varying degrees of experience varying from nothing at all to keen sailors. Regardless, you will learn the ropes and be a hands-on member of the crew
Equipment required: Sleeping bag/pillow, warm clothes and stout non-slip waterproof shoes/boots
Equipment supplied: Use of wet weather gear/full waterproofs, safety equipment and everything necessary for a residential afloat
Additional Accreditation Available: Royal Yachting Association, Competent Crew Certificate is awarded to those who earn it’s merit, at an additional cost of £10 per person or £20 if an RYA logbook is required to document your sea miles for future use
Whilst these voyages are aimed at DofE students, they are open to any like-minded young person aged 16 to 25 who are looking for fun, challenge and adventure!
