A poem from the seas

Charlotte, Captain of Queen Galadriel

Upon the Queen Galadriel, so bold and free,

Captain Charlotte steers with strength across the sea.

The winds are howling, the storm clouds roar,

But with her steady hand, they fear no more.

Oscar’s on the deck, with the ropes in hand,

Tacking in the gale, he obeys the command.

Graham, with his eye on the compass so true,

Charts their course with the horizon in view.

Tracey’s in the galley, whistling a tune,

Stirring up stew by the light of the moon.

The smell of the soup mingles with salt and spray,

Their spirits unbroken, come what may.

The sails billow strong, a dance in the storm,

The ship’s heart beats steady, its frame warm.

Through every gust and thunder’s call,

They sail as one, standing proud, standing tall.

The food may be simple, but it’s seasoned with cheer,

A meal shared in laughter, no worry, no fear.

They may be tossed by waves, by wind, by the sky,

But together they thrive, as time rushes by.

For what is a ship but the crew it keeps,

In moments of calm, or when the ocean weeps?

Charlotte leads with grace, but it’s all their might,

In the storm, on the sea, they find pure delight.
